PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recorder with high convenience where an advantage of enhanced reception reliability of receiving data to a print memory as well as a communication memory is made compatible saving of the power by starting heating by a heater as soon as reception of the data is started in a standby state without heating a fixing section by the heater. SOLUTION: The recorder is provided with a heater control means that controls supply of power to a heater 6a to control the temperature of the heater 6a to be a prescribed fixing temperature and with a heater control means that allows the heater control means to start fixing temperature control when reception of data is started, that allows the heater control means to start fixing temperature control in a reception standby state when a residual capacity of a communication memory 8 is less than a prescribed remaining capacity required, and that that does not allow the heater control means to start fixing temperature control when the residual capacity of the memory 8 is not less than the prescribed remaining capacity to stop supply of power to the heater 6a.
