摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an obstacle detection method in an environment surrounding a motor vehicle.SOLUTION: The method includes the steps of defining at least one first region of interest by carrying out a first detection of an obstacle by shape recognition in an obtained image of an environment, defining at least one second region of interest by carrying out a second detection of an obstacle by movement detection in relation to the vehicle on a sequence of obtained images of the environment, classifying the detected obstacle in accordance with first and second confidence indexes applied to the first and second regions of interest in relation to given characteristics, and validating the classification of the object detected in relation to the confidence indexes and in relation to the regions of interest to obtain the validated regions of interest.
