PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a contrast of a defective part to be clearly displayed, and allow a surface defect to be highly accurately detected.SOLUTION: An R value, a G value and a B value expressing a coating color of a body shell 1 moving on a conveyance line L are read from ID information stored in an IC tag 4 moving together with the body shell 1 (S5), and complementary colors Rc, Gc and Bc (opposite color value) with respect to the R value, G value and B value are calculated (S9). Then, a color signal corresponding to each of the complementary colors Rc, Gc and Bc is output to a color illumination panel 12 (S10). The body shell 1 is illuminated with illumination light to be emitted from the color illumination panel 12 and having a complementary color relation with the coating color. As a result, in an image having reflection light from the body shell 1 photographed by a surface photographing camera 14, a normal part is displayed in a white color, and a defective part is displayed in a gray color, which in turn a contrast of the defective part is made clear.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
