PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper package capable of preventing erroneous detection of the existence of paper.SOLUTION: This paper package 9 is stored in a paper storage part 6 of a printer 1, and when closing a cover body 10, a second plane part 50 of the paper package 9 is pressed by a pressing plate 18, and the lowest layer part of stacked paper is pressed by a pickup roller 12. A reflection type optical sensor 80 arranged in the printer 1 is opposed to a second cutout part 53 arranged in the second plane part 50 of the paper package 9. The reflection type optical sensor 80 detects the reflected light from a synthetic resin for constituting the pressing plate 18 of the cover body 10 when the paper does not exist in the paper package 9. Here, since a third cutout part 452 is formed in a third plane part 60 of the paper package 9, the performance of the erroneous detection as if the paper exists when the paper does not exist by reflecting the light of the reflection type optical sensor 80 by a reverse surface of the third plane part 60, can be prevented. |
