PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating composition for metallic pipes which has reduced solvent odor of toluene and/or xylene and shortens the time required for drying and a metallic pipe coated with the coating.SOLUTION: The coating composition for metallic pipes includes a (meth)acrylic resin and a solvent consisting of toluene and/or xylene and a 9-10C alkyl cyclohexane. The weight ratio of toluene and/or xylene to the 9-10C alkyl cyclohexane in the solvent is 85:15-30:70.
