PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating liquid for a charge transporting layer, the coating liquid hardly degrading even in a long-term immersion coating process in a circulation system, and to provide a method for manufacturing an electrophotographic photoreceptor using the coating liquid.SOLUTION: The method manufactures a layered type electrophotographic photoreceptor having a charge generating layer and a charge transporting layer layered in this order on a conductive support is characterized. In the method, a coating liquid for the charge transporting layer, using a volatile solvent which is repeatedly used in an immersion coating method, is replenished with a solvent, which has been treated with an adsorbent having such a property that treated water obtained by contact-treating the adsorbent with pure water shows a pH of 6 to 10, by an amount compensating the amount of the volatile solvent reduced by vaporization. |
