PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and method corresponding thereto where CDMA techniques are used in a compressed mode.SOLUTION: A radio frame on an uplink data channel is formed and transmitted so that at least one transmission gap (TG) is included in the compressed mode. This is achieved by reducing spreading factor (for example, by a factor of two). TG becomes compatible or adjusted to the desired length (TGL) by using bit repetition (or puncturing reduction) in combination with the reduction of the spreading factor. In the other embodiments, a frame for an uplink control channel is formed or formatted so that bit of format indicator (for example, TFCI) therein is repeated in the compressed mode. Further, any embodiment of this invention is applicable to downlink channel communications. |
