HEART MUSCLE-LIKE CELL SHEET, THREE-DIMENSIONAL CONSTRUCT, HEART MUSCLE-LIKE TISSUE AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heart muscle-like cultured cell sheet comprising cells of a heart muscle tissue keeping contraction and relaxation function and electrical linkage and orientation between the cells, and a three-dimensional construct of the cell sheet.SOLUTION: There are provided a three-dimensional culture method for the heart muscle cell sheet comprising culturing cells on a cell culture support which includes a base material coated with a temperature-responsive polymer having an upper or lower critical temperature of dissolution in water of from 0 to 80°C, and then (1) adjusting the temperature of the culture liquid to a level equal to or higher than the upper critical dissolution temperature or equal to or lower than the lower critical dissolution temperature; and, if necessary, (2) closely adhering the cultured cell sheet to a polymer film; and (3) peeling off the sheet together with the polymer film. The heart muscle-like tissue constructed by the method is also provided.
