<p>A speaker device is provided with a vibration plate, a stationary section for supporting the vibration plate so that the vibration plate can vibrate in a vibration direction, and a drive section provided to the stationary section and applying vibration to the vibration plate by means of an audio signal. The drive section is provided with a magnetic circuit for forming a magnetic gap, a voice coil vibrated in a direction different from the direction of vibration of the vibration plate by an audio signal inputted in the voice coil, and a vibrating direction changing section for transmitting vibration of the voice coil to the vibration plate after changing the direction of the vibration. The vibration direction changing section is provided with joint sections connected to a mounting receiving member which includes both the vibration plate and the voice coil and located close to the mounting receiving member. Contact avoiding sections which avoid contact with the joint sections are formed in that surface of the mounting receiving member which is located close to the joint sections.</p>
