PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device selectively and efficiently removing deteriorated developer, and an image forming apparatus including the same.SOLUTION: A developer removing device 30 that has a scraper 31 which can be abutted on an end of a surface of a magnetic roller 22 on a downstream side in a developer conveying direction of a first stirring screw 21a is provided on a downstream side of an N1 pole in a rotating direction of the magnetic roller 22 and on an upstream side of a developer separating position B. The scraper 31 protrudes from a shaft 33, which is connected to an electromagnetic solenoid 35 through a connecting member 37. The shaft 33 is rotated when the electromagnetic solenoid 35 is started or stopped, so that the scraper 31 comes in contact with and separates from the magnetic roller 22. |
