PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel hydrocarbon oxidizing apparatus.SOLUTION: The hydrocarbon oxidizing apparatus has a reactor 1 containing a hydrocarbon and oxygen, an external electrode 3 disposed on the outer side of the reactor 1, an internal electrode 2 disposed inside the reactor 1, and a supply unit 5 for supplying a liquid to the reactor 1. The liquid contains an oxidant in some cases. The hydrocarbon is preferably a 1-10C saturated hydrocarbon, a 2-10C unsaturated hydrocarbon, a 6-20C aromatic hydrocarbon, or a hydrocarbon which is flowable at normal temperatures and pressures. The liquid is preferably one liquid selected from among distilled water, pure water, aqueous hydrogen peroxide solutions, alkali aqueous solutions, aqueous acidic solutions, and mixtures of two or more of them. The oxidant is preferably hydrogen peroxide. |
