PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an agent using an action for the sterol regulatory element binding protein 1 (SREBP1) of lactoferrin, and to provide uses thereof as a medicine and a food.SOLUTION: There are provided a SREBP1 expression inhibitor containing the lactoferrin as an active ingredient; and an agent or a food for preventing and/treating a disease caused by the expression of SREBP1, containing the lactoferrin as an active ingredient.
