PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems that a foaming phenomenon is not immediately detected when it occurs since there is the delay of the fixed time before washing water is gathered at the suction port of a washing pump in a method of detecting the water level of the washing water by a water level detection means and the height of a water surface tends to be erroneously detected since it easily varies during washing when a water level sensor detects it.SOLUTION: The dish washing and drying machine includes: a washing tub 122 for storing dishes; a water supply means 120 for supplying water into the washing tub 122; a pump 3 for discharge water into the washing tub 122; a motor 121 for driving the pump 3; a current detection means 131 for detecting the current of the motor 121; a control means 140 for controlling the drive of the motor 121; and a determination means 141 for determining the air entrainment of the pump from the increase/decrease fluctuation width of a current value in the current detection means 131. When the increase/decrease width of the current value in the current detection means 131 is equal to or more than a fixed width, the determination means 141 determines that the air entrainment has occurred. |
