The connector has a tubular connecting part (111), which is air-tightly connected with another tubular connecting part (151) of a line system guiding water or aqueous solutions. The connector is designed in such a manner that the connecting part (111) is partially enclosed by the connecting part (151) in a connected condition. A ring groove (116) is recessed in the connecting part (111) at a surface contacting the connecting part (151) in the connected condition. A ring seal (117) made of a water-pourable sealing material is inserted into the ring groove. An independent claim is also included for a method for air-tightly connecting one tubular connecting part with another tubular connecting part of a line system guiding water or aqueous solutions.
