The unit has planetary gear transmissions (P1-P4) arranged along a main rotational axis (10) one behind the other. Six clutch units (S1-S6) are arranged such that nine forward gears are shifted. The gear transmissions are formed with respective planet carriers (P12-P42). A drive unit (11) and one of the planet carriers (P12) are connected with each other in a torque proof manner. The clutch units have rotatable clutch units (S31, S32, S51, S52, S61, S62). Another drive unit (12) and two of the rotatable clutch units (S52, S61) are rotatably connected with each other.
