<p>The purifier has an air extractor hood (5) with a closed plate-like hood housing that is counterbored in a floor cupboard in a form of a vertically movable drawer (6). The hood is opened on a fresh air side and an exhaust air side. The opening of the hood is limited by a rectangular frame (11). An activated carbon filter and a filter device (12) i.e. stainless steel grease filter, are detachably connected with the frame by a snap fit. The hood includes a pollen filter loaded in the frame. An ozone-free UV-C germicidal lamp is arranged in a through-flow region between the filters. An independent claim is also included for a method for purifying air in a room.</p> |
