The present invention provides a device and method for unified management of multiple applications on a mobile terminal. Said device includes: a time event management module, a database and a background execution module. Said database is used for storing event information of events; said time event management module is used for maintaining and managing a time event queue, extracting the event information from the database, and according to the start time in the event information, sorting the events to obtain the time event queue; said background execution module is used for detecting said time event queue to find the event with the start time closest to the current time and performing response processing. The present invention adopts the manner of unified management for the events of every application with a time event queue, utilizes a time event management module to manage the time event queue, and unifies the management for the applications related to time in a mobile terminal system, thereby well solving the problem of concurrency and conflicts among applications and optimizing the management flow for time events in a mobile terminal.
