PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seismic response control apparatus simple in structure, advantageous in cost and easily constructed while absorbing seismic force to make sure of suppressing the damage of a structure. SOLUTION: The seismic response control apparatus 1 used for the structure 2 comprising a plurality of structures includes a cable 6; a first anchor member 7 fixable to the first structure 3 and anchoring one end of the cable 6; a fitting member 8 fitted to the cable 6; and a fixing member 9 fixing the fitting member 8 to the second structure 4. The fitting member 8 is fitted to the cable 6 so that predetermined frictional force is applied between the fitting member 8 and the cable 6.
