PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable regeneration charging without complicating a device as much as possible in a center motor type power-assisted bicycle with an interior transmission. SOLUTION: A transmission mechanism 5, a first one-way clutch 2, and a rotary resistance giving means 30 are provided inside a hub 1 provided to a driving wheel. The transmission mechanism 5 is provided with a shift control mechanism 40 constituted by a planetary gear mechanism whose speed can be changed in two shifts and for rotatably or non-rotatably any one of sun gears 5f, 5g, 5h to an axle 11 relative to both of a driving force and an reverse input, and has a function for transmitting the driving force to the driving wheel through a sprocket 7. The first one-way clutch 2 is provided with a regeneration mechanism having a function capable of idling during driving, and transmitting the reverse input to the sprocket 7 during non-driving, and for reducing a regeneration power generated by the reverse input to a secondary battery. The rotation resistance giving means 30 has a function for giving the rotation resistance required for engagement to a retainer 4 of the first one-way clutch 2. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
