PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect a position of an optical element while preventing growth in size. SOLUTION: In an optical unit 3 which has a lens 4, an actuator 5 that moves the lens 4 in an optical axis direction X, and a reference member 6 that abuts on the lens 4 when the lens 4 moves to a predetermined reference position P, the lens 4 is formed with a piezoelectric material, and is put between electrodes 42 in the optical axis direction X, and, when the lens 4 moves by the actuator 5 and abuts on the reference member 6, a voltage value corresponding to the position of the lens 4 is output from the electrodes 42.
