PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system to compensate an interfering electromagnetic field while compensating uniform and non-uniform magnetic fields. SOLUTION: This system compensating the interfering electromagnetic field (non-uniform interfering electromagnetic field) includes: two triaxial magnetic field sensors (3, 4) to output real sensor signals; six compensation coils (6) constituted as a cage around an object (2) to be protected and individually actuated; and a control unit (7) having six inputs, six outputs, and a digital processor in which the sensor signals are received at the input side and processed to obtain control signals for the compensation coils (6). The real sensor signals are converted to virtual sensor signals by a first matrix multiplication for mapping the interfering electromagnetic fields at the position of the object (2), the virtual sensor signals are converted to modified signals by an operator to describe the controller constitution, the modified signals are converted to real control signals by a second matrix multiplication, and these control signals are individually supplied to the six compensation coils (6).
