PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile terminal which, when a first mobile terminal desires to perform wireless LAN connection to a second mobile terminal, even if the second mobile terminal is already under data communication, performs connection between the first and second mobile terminals while continuing the data communication. SOLUTION: On the assumption that a data communication upper layer (dotted line portion) of a wireless LAN is being executed (Q1) between a mobile terminal 200 and an AP 300, a mobile terminal 100 searches peripheral mobile terminals (Q3) to detect the mobile terminal 200 (Q4). A status of the mobile terminal 200 is requested to the mobile terminal 200 by SMS of CDMA communication (Q5) and a status response is received (Q6). Then, a mode of the wireless LAN is set to the same as an infrastructure mode of the status of the mobile terminal 200 (Q7), and wireless LAN connection with the mobile terminal 200 is performed via the AP 300 (Q8-Q10). The mobile terminal 200 parallel processes the data communication upper layer (dotted line portion) of Q1 and the data communication upper layer (real line frame portion) of Q10.
