The thermosiphon (1) has a pressure-rigid and evacuable container formed as a sandwich element (2) from two covering shells (20, 21) e.g. pins or bolts. The shells are held at a distance by a spacer (22) and vacuum-tightly connected one below the other at edges such that continuous transmission of latent warmth to an outer contact surface of a heat transfer pipe (25) takes place by a gaseous working medium (11) via a bearing surface (12). The working medium flows through the pipe that is formed as a condenser (13). The pipe is centrally arranged in an operating area (10) above a sump (110).
