<p>Disclosed is a display device, which can be provided as a final product for a television receiver and the like only by assembling a display panel and a backlight unit and has excellent workability in assembling the display panel to the backlight unit, while ensuring a large effective display region. The display device is provided with the hot-cathode tube (50), the liquid crystal panel (11) which performs display using light emitted from the hot-cathode tube (50), a first cabinet (Ca) having the liquid crystal panel (11) attached thereto, and a second cabinet (Cb) having the hot-cathode tube (50) attached thereto. The first cabinet (Ca) and the second cabinet (Cb) are engaged with each other, and the first cabinet (Ca) and the second cabinet (Cb) form an outer casing that constitutes the external appearance of the liquid crystal display device (10). The display device is also provided with an optical sheet (20), which is disposed between the first cabinet (Ca) and the second cabinet (Cb) and diffuses light emitted from the hot-cathode tube (50), and a supporting pin (72), which is attached to the second cabinet (Cb) and supports the optical sheet (20).</p> |
