PURPOSE: A light emitting device and a driving method thereof are provided to prevent the motion blur and the flicker by controlling the pulse ratio of a light emitting data voltage supplied to a corresponding light emitting pixel during the first field and the second field according to the motion flag signal. CONSTITUTION: A video processor(150) is received with an image source and converts it into an input image signal(R, G, B) and an image input control signal(CP). A local brightness controller(200) is inputted with an input image signal and an input image control signal to output the brightness information signal and the motion detection signal.
