PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic endoscope capable of performing the color adjustment suitable for the characteristics of a display device such as a monitor, and to provide an electronic endoscope system and a color adjusting method for them. SOLUTION: This electronic endoscopic system includes a photographing means for photographing an observation target to form an image signal, a memory means for storing a predetermined image, an output means for outputting the predetermined image to the display device in order to display the same on the display means, a reference value setting means for setting a reference value on the basis of the image signal formed by photographing the predetermined image displayed on the display device by the photographing means, and a color adjusting means for performing color adjustment with respect to the image signal formed by the photographing means on the basis of the reference value.
