<p>A method and system for application layer link control are provided. The method comprises: judging if a link number a of a connection having been established between exterior IP and a Multimedia Messaging Service Gateway MMSG in the current granularity is less than a link threshold number A of a connection having been established with the MMSG in the current granularity (S1), if yes, subtracting the a from the A, obtaining the link threshold number B of a connection having been established with the MMSG in the next granularity (S2), B=A-a; else, obtaining the link threshold number B of a connection having been established with the MMSG in the next granularity, B=0, and rejecting the request initiated by the exterior IP to establish a connection with the MMSG in the next granularity. By adopting the present invention, the effective controlling for establishing the link with the MMSG is realized, the MMSG link resource is distributed fairly, the perfect distribution of the link resource is realized.</p> |
