PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air spring for a vehicle, which is improved to prevent or avoid a diaphragm and a lower structure of the diaphragm such as a carriage frame from contacting frictionally with each other even when the diaphragm is in an airless state due to a puncture, and substantially improves durability. SOLUTION: The air spring A for the vehicle has an air cushion ac including an outer cylinder 1 on a vehicle body side, an inner cylinder 2 on a carriage side arranged at the lower part, and a rubber-made diaphragm 3 arranged between the both cylinders 1, 2. An airbag 16 is disposed between the diaphram 3 and a carriage frame 13 to prevent the diaphragm 3 in an airless state with air lost from the diaphragm 3 and the carriage frame 13 from contacting with each other. The upper surface of the airbag 16 functions as a movable contact part 16a contacting the diaphragm 3 in a state following the motion of the diaphragm 3 so as not to cause friction with the diaphragm 3.
