PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recognition device for reducing calculation amount and memory capacity necessary for image recognition and detecting a plurality of recognition target objects whose parts are overlapped each other. SOLUTION: The object recognition device includes: a feature point data storing unit for storing a plurality of first feature points extracted from an image that is point-symmetrically converted from a registered image, and a displacement vector from a reference point to the first feature point of the converted image; a feature point extracting unit for extracting second feature points constituting features of the recognition target object of an input image; a candidate coordinate point calculating unit for calculating a candidate coordinate point from the second feature point and the displacement vector by sequentially rotating the displacement vector at unit angle around the second feature point as the center of rotation; a candidate coordinate point voting unit for projecting the candidate coordinate points to a plurality of coordinate axes and voting correspondingly to a rotation angle of the displacement vector to projected axis coordinate points; and a recognition target object determining unit for setting an axis coordinate of the maximum value of an integration value in the vote at the coordinate axis as a reference point.
