PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wrist watch for limiting a rotating direction of a rotary ring in a specific direction by a simple structure. SOLUTION: The wrist watch is formed so that first and second gears 15 and 16 provided on an operable-to-rotate operating member 7 provided on a side of a wrist watch case 1 from its outside through the inside and an elastic piece 21 provided in the wrist watch case 1 and coming into elastic contact with the second gear 16 may elastically deform the elastic piece 21 by teeth 20 of the second gear 16 when the operating member 7 is rotated in one direction to permit the operating member 7 to rotate, the elastic piece 21 may lock the teeth 20 of the second gear 16 to prevent the rotation of the operating member 7 when the operating member 7 is rotated in the other direction. Therefore, by a simple structure of just adding the elastic piece 21, the rotating direction of the rotary ring 6 is limited only in the specific direction. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
