PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitoring camera with a vibration reducing function, the monitoring camera automatically stopping the vibration reducing function when an earthquake is detected. SOLUTION: The monitoring camera provided with vibration reducing means 2, 4, and 5 for protecting blur of a picked-up video due to vibration includes: an earthquake detection means 6; and a function of stopping the vibration reducing function of the vibration reducing means in response to an earthquake occurrence signal from the earthquake detection means.
