摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain high-resolution images in a three-plate type camera system using an image-pickup device having a small number of pixels. SOLUTION: An imaging device is equipped with: a pixel shifting light receiving section 202 consisting of image-pickup elements in three honeycomb arrays for outputting an analog signal, the elements being arranged in such a manner that image-pickup elements for light-receiving an R-signal and image-pickup elements for light-receiving a B-signal are shifted with respect to image-pickup elements for light-receiving a G-signal at a pitch of 1/4 pixel in a horizontal and vertical directions, respectively; a G-pixel interpolation section 203 for interpolating a G-pixel that does not exist spatially, using peripheral G-pixels in a video signal sequence output by an A/D conversion section 130; a luminance signal producing section 204 for mixing adjacent pixels in a honeycomb pixel array including pixels interpolated by the G-pixel interpolation section 203 and producing a luminance signal for a honeycomb array; a luminance interpolation section 205 for producing a luminance signal for interpolating between luminance signals produced by the luminance signal producing section 204.
