<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lubricant composition which has a satisfactorily high viscosity index and is excellent in fuel saving properties and lubricity. <P>SOLUTION: The lubricant composition contains: a lubricant base oil which contains an ester-based base oil, that has 1-500 mm<SP>2</SP>/s kinetic viscosity at 100°C and is of 0.1-90 mass% based on the total mass of base oils, and has 1-20 mm<SP>2</SP>/s kinetic viscosity at 100°C; and a viscosity index improver which is of 0.1-50 mass% based on the total mass of the lubricant composition, and has≥10,000 weight-average molecular weight,≥0.8×10<SP>4</SP>ratio of the weight-average molecular weight to PSSI (the permanent shear stability index) and≤2.0 ratioΔHTHS100/ΔHTHS150 (whereinΔHTHS100 is the increment of the HTHS viscosity at 100°C;ΔHTHS150 is the increment of the HTHS viscosity at 150°C). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
