PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data collection method and data collecting device of a steel plant system for collecting a large output data capacity by securing synchronicity. SOLUTION: The data collecting device is configured to collect control information output by a controller to a steel plant as binary data, and to collect the event information of the steel plant controlled by the control information output by the controller as binary data, and to add a common key to both the binary data of the control information and the binary data of the event information collected at the same time, and to accumulate the binary data of the control information to which the common key has been added, and to accumulate the binary data of the event information to which the common key has been added.
