FIELD: medicine. ^ SUBSTANCE: there is offered a method for identification of an inhibiting candidate substance which enables inhibits hepsin-activated HGF. The method is based on comparing the degree of activation of pro-HGF substratum in a sample containing hepsin, pro-HGF and the analysed candidate substance, with the degree of activation of pro-HGF substratum in the reference sample who not containing the candidate substance.
