<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vein imaging apparatus, a displacement interpolation method and a program for correcting displacement between an optical component and an imaging element generated due to thermal expansion, and for achieving the miniaturization of a device. <P>SOLUTION: The imaging element of a vein imaging apparatus includes a vein image data generation region for generating the image data of a vein based on near infrared rays of light transmitted through veins scattered in a living body collected by a lens array; and a displacement detection data generation region including a shielding section where pixels are shielded and an opening where any pixel is not shielded for generating data for displacement detection to be used in detecting the change of an image forming position corresponding to the imaging temperature based on the rays of light received through the opening. This vein imaging apparatus detects the image forming position of the rays of light based on the data for displacement detection, and estimates the displacement quantity generated in the device based on the image forming position.
