PURPOSE: A device and a method for suppressing interference between adjacent sectors in a communication system based uplink SDMA are provided to perform cooperation scheduling and uplink power control in a communication system based on uplink SDMA, thereby suppressing interference between adjacent sectors. CONSTITUTION: A path loss determining unit receives a downlink signal from adjacent sectors and determines average receiving power per each sector(202). The path loss determining unit calculates average downlink path loss per each sector using the average receiving power per each sector(204). A transmission power determining unit determines maximum transmission power from the downlink path loss per each sector based on minimum path loss. A controller transmits the determined maximum transmission power to a base station.
