<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress significant appearance of borders between respective areas in carrying out area control of a backlight in a backlight device. <P>SOLUTION: An LED 51a arranged at an end edge part of an area A1 is drive-controlled similarly with an LED 52 arranged at neighboring area A2. On the other hand, an LED 52a arranged opposite to the LED 51a at the end edge part of the area A2 is drive-controlled similarly to an LED 51 arranged at neighboring area A1. Thus, the LED 51a and the LED 52a opposedly arranged through the border between the area A1 and the area A2 are drive-controlled mutually alternately, and the border between the area A1 and the area A2 becomes inconspicuous. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
