PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate incorrect detection during power failure detection and to allow a cost reduction in a household electric cooking appliance having a plurality of microcomputer control means. SOLUTION: The household electric cooking appliance includes two types of microcomputer control means 32A, 32B arranged on a control board having a heating means-driving circuit for driving a heating means, and on an operating board having an operating means and a display means, wherein a plurality of power failure-detecting means corresponding to each microcomputer control means 32A, 32B are provided for preventing incorrect detection caused by noise, which also contributes to cost reduction by reducing lead wires or connector pins.
