<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved assembly type vehicle wheel, a wheel rim for use in such a vehicle wheel, and a method for manufacturing the same. <P>SOLUTION: This invention relates to the method for manufacturing the assembly type vehicle wheel comprising the steps of: (a) providing a rim blank; (b) providing a first tooling fixture tool for reshaping the cylindrical shape of the rim blank to manufacture a rim preform; (c) providing a second tooling fixture tool; (d) positioning the rim preform in the internal chamber to make the outer surface positioned adjacently to the contour of the inner surface of the tooling member; (e) supplying a high pressure hydraulic fluid to the internal chamber and manufacturing the wheel rim with a contour in accordance with the contour of the inner surface of the tooling member; (f) removing the wheel rim from the second tooling fixture tool; and (g) fixing the wheel rim to a wheel disc. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
