PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain particles that extremely hardly cause unspecific adsorption of a biochemical substance and separates a target biochemical substance at a very high purity in a high yield. SOLUTION: The organic polymer particles for separating a biochemical substance from a biological sample utilizing an interaction with a probe includes an active functional group for bonding to the probe, has a surface area giving a value of 20-5,000Å<SP>2</SP>when divided by the amount of the active functional group, and bears a nonionic hydrophilic group.
