The device (1) has a frame accommodating removable scaffolding elements and comprising two U shaped parallel uprights (2, 3) that comprise lower branches (2b, 3b) and side branches (2a, 2c, 3a, 3c). An accommodation space (4) of elements extends between the side branches. Cross-pieces (5-7) e.g. bars, connect the uprights and a transport handle (8). Maintaining units have adjustable straps (9, 10), of the elements that are placed across the space to maintain the elements during transport or storage of the elements. The space between the side branches is greater than height of side branches. An independent claim is also included for an assembly comprising a portable device for transport or storage of scaffolding elements.
