<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cover provided to an image forming apparatus and having a sheet stacking function, wherein backlash and a level difference caused when the cover is closed are corrected. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes: the cover having the sheet stacking function supported by a rotary shaft in an almost horizontal direction; and a pull-in mechanism pulling in the cover in a closing direction, wherein the cover has a rotary shaft, a butting shape to the image forming apparatus when the cover is closed, and a link shape to the pull-in mechanism. A link mechanism is arranged between the butting shape and the rotary shaft, and a bearing hole on the link shape side of the cover is a slot nearly in the same direction as a normal direction of the butting shape. The slot part is made movable front and rear by utilizing force of the pull-in mechanism, whereby the tip side of the cover is corrected. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
