<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color resist composition capable of preventing the occurrence of unevenness in painting and unevenness in color due to cissing or the like and having sufficient alkali resistance for preventing a coated surface from being eroded by an alkali developing liquid to form a colored pattern with high precision; to provide a color filter capable of forming a colored pattern very precisely; and to provide a liquid crystal display device using this color filter. <P>SOLUTION: The color resist composition contains (A) an alkali soluble resin, (B) a polymerization compound, (C) a colorant, and (D) a fluorine surfactant having polymerization group.
