PURPOSE: A display device and a channel selection method thereof in order to add newly added channel information to a channel map are provided to perform a channel search while maintaining the existing edited channel information by storing the channel information to the channel map. CONSTITUTION: A broadcasting signal reception unit receives a broadcast signal of a specific channel transmitted from the outside. A channel information extracting unit(230) extracts first channel information from the broadcast signal received through the broadcasting signal reception unit. A storage stores second channel information extracted from the broadcasting signal of the specific channel. |
