PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing apparatus, a notification method, and a program to improve a user's convenience in a virtual input interface displayed on a display screen.

SOLUTION: The information processing apparatus is provided which includes: an operation display part displaying a plurality of virtual operation keys on the display screen in a predetermined key layout to detect operations performed by the user on the display screen; a vibration detection part detecting vibration changes of the operation display part; a key operation determination part determining whether a key input operation is performed on each of the virtual operation keys based on the detection results by the operation display part and by the vibration detection part; and a notification control part giving notification selectively to the user based on the determination results indicating that no key input operation has been performed to each of the virtual operation keys and that the virtual operation key corresponding to the detection result of the operation display part should be a reference virtual operation key regulating a reference location in the key operation determination part.
