PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To conduct printing to the end of print paper without making an ink droplet landed to a platen. SOLUTION: The print paper P is held and fed (sub-scanning feed) by upstream side-paper sending rollers 25a and 25b. When the front end Pf of the print paper P is above the opening of a groove 26m, the ink droplet Ip is jetted from nozzles #5 to #9 of a printing head 28 to start printing. Since the printing is started when the front end Pf of the print paper P is located behind the nozzle #5 (upstream of the sub-scanning direction), it is possible to print an image to the end without leaving a margin at the front end Pf even if there exist some paper feeding errors. Since the used nozzle is above the groove 26m, the afterward sent print paper is not fouled by the ink droplet that is not landed on the print paper P but is attached to the upper surface of the platen 26. Afterwards, the image is printed on the print paper P by the nozzles #5 to #9. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
