<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin electrooptical device mounted with a touch panel. <P>SOLUTION: A glass substrate 31 of the touch panel 40 is used as a sealing substrate of an organic electroluminescent (EL) panel 20 of a top-emission type, in a display 100. In other words, the glass substrate 31 of the touch panel 40 combines the function of the sealing substrate of the organic EL panel 20. Moreover, the thickness of the glass substrate 31 is set sufficiently thick to assure moisture proof performance for the sealing substrate.
