<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat sink excellent in heat dissipation performance, and to provide a method of manufacturing the heat sink. <P>SOLUTION: The heat sink includes a substrate having a plurality of columned projections formed, a plurality of columned fins each comprising a flange portion and a column body formed extending from the flange portion, and a cover plate having a plurality of mounting holes in which flange portions of the plurality of columned fins are put, through-holes which are concentric with the mounting holes and penetrated by the column bodies of the columned fins, and a plurality of fixation holes into which the plurality of columned projections are inserted, wherein the columned projections inserted into the fixation holes are pressed from a vertical direction to deform to tightly secure the substrate and cover plate, and the flange portions of the columned fins are fixed while sandwiched between the substrate and cover plate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
