PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the processing required for detecting the feature quantity of image data. SOLUTION: Each eight pixels are read out from image data stored in a memory 101, and the color data of these pixels are compared by pixel processing circuits 102 to 108; and in the pixel processing circuits 102 to 108, the color data of respective pixels are sequentially compared with those of the other pixels, in parallel by combination in which by pixels; overlap is not performed with each other; and when the color data of the pixels coincide with those of the other pixels, the comparing processing of the pixels are ended. Hence, when the number of simultaneously inputted pixels is increased, circuit scale can be reduced sharply and the processing time can be shortened. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
